Infosys to Develop Quantum Computing Capabilities on Amazon Web Services, Will Use Amazon Braket

Infosys has unveiled a strategic partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to advance quantum computing capabilities and explore potential use cases. In its pursuit of quantum computing applications, Infosys will leverage Amazon Braket as an integral component of its Infosys Cobalt cloud offerings.

Amazon Braket, a fully managed quantum computing service, simplifies the onboarding process for scientists and developers, expediting their research and explorations, as noted by Bengaluru-based Infosys.

The company outlined its plan to develop, test, and assess quantum applications using Amazon Braket’s circuit simulators and quantum hardware technologies. This initiative will empower researchers and developers to delve into intricate computational challenges as quantum technology progresses.

According to the statement, enterprises will gain access to use cases for agile experimentation, enabling them to explore the potential impact of quantum computing in various domains, generate novel ideas, and devise strategies for adopting quantum technology to foster innovation.

Infosys aims to employ Amazon Braket to prepare businesses for a future where quantum computers will exert a significant influence on various industries. Moreover, the Infosys Center for Emerging Technology Solutions (iCETS), dedicated to incubating next-gen services and solutions, will utilize Amazon Braket to craft quantum computing use cases, including vehicle route optimization and fraud detection, among other applications.

Additionally, Infosys is actively exploring opportunities for partnerships with startups operating in the quantum computing sector through the Infosys Innovation Network (IIN).
